Completely Renovated and Enlarged Kitchen in Batavia, Illinois

The customer wanted to enlarge and completely remodel their existing kitchen.  We removed a wall that separated the laundry room and kitchen so we could use the existing laundry room space for the new kitchen layout.  We relocated the laundry room into a completely new room using existing storage space in the garage.

In addition to removing and relocating walls we also relocated existing electrical and plumbing.  We added recessed can lights and accent lighting to compliment the kitchen design.
We added hardwood flooring throughout the kitchen and eating area.
With the new larger footprint of the kitchen we were able to incorporate a large two level island for food preparation and seating.  With the two level island food preparation can be hidden from guests seated at the island.
 
The cabinets are from a semi- custom cabinetry line.  To add interest, the perimeter wall and base cabinets are in a stained finish and the island cabinets are in painted finish.  To further complete the custom design look without using custom cabinets we added a decorative hood detail and cabinetry trim.  By adding these elements this allows a homeowner to achieve a custom look without the custom price.
Lastly, we added granite countertops and a decorative tiled backsplash with an accent pattern over the range to finish off this complete kitchen remodel.
